Personalized training programs specializing in small breed dogs, puppies, and sensitive pups in a calm home environment.

Every dog learns best with consistency, structure, and clear communication, and that’s exactly what I provide here at Cozy Casita de Pets. I specialize in working with small breed dogs, puppies, and sensitive dogs who benefit from a calmer, more personalized training environment.
Dogs stay with me for day training sessions or full board & train programs where they receive daily practice, enrichment, confidence-building exercises, and structured guidance tailored to their individual needs and personality. Because I keep my programs small and personalized, your dog gets hands-on attention in a low-stress home environment designed to help them truly learn and decompress.
When you pick up your dog, I walk you through everything we worked on so you feel confident continuing the training at home. You’ll also receive a personalized Go-Home Packet that outlines your dog’s progress, the skills we practiced, and step-by-step guidance for maintaining long-term success.
Day Training
Day Training is perfect for busy pet parents who want their dog to make progress while they’re at work or occupied during the day. You’ll drop your dog off with me in the morning and pick them up later that afternoon after their training day is complete. Day Training is available Monday–Thursday between 6am–6pm, and you can choose up to 8 hours of care per day based on your schedule.
During their stay, your dog will spend the day in my structured home environment working on ONE specific skill, such as leash manners, place training, confidence-building, impulse control, or basic obedience. Throughout the day, they’ll receive personalized guidance, practice, enrichment, and rest breaks to help them learn without becoming overstimulated.
Great for: Puppies building a foundation, or dogs that need help with manners and impulse control.

Lilly
The Issue:
Lilly struggled with reactivity and would bark at other dogs, especially when she felt unsure or overwhelmed. Walks were stressful, and she didn’t have a clear way to handle those moments.
How I Helped:
I focused on building Lily’s confidence and giving her structure using the 1-2-3 pattern game. This created predictability and helped her stay engaged instead of reacting. Over time, Lilly is learning to move through environments more calmly and focus on her handler rather than other dogs.

Reese
The Issue:
Reese struggled with reactivity and would engage in intense barking when he saw dogs he was unsure about. He often felt the need to be “in charge” on walks, which led to overstimulation and difficulty settling.
How I Helped:
I focused on building structure and confidence through a pattern game, giving Reese a clear and predictable way to move through triggers. We also incorporated place training at a distance to teach him how to settle and observe calmly without reacting. In addition, we worked on walking in a structured heel so he was no longer out in front feeling like he had to handle everything on his own.
